“Oregon Modernism Through the Lens of Open Space: A Film Viewing & Conversation”
What happens when Oregon’s Modernist treasures are seen through the eyes of architects and filmmakers? Find out when you join us for our final event of the 2026 Modernism Calendar: our annual lecture, featuring the co-founders of Open Space, Elias Tebache and Mick Aure.
On September 21, Elias and Mick return to Portland for a special film screening and conversation, “Oregon Modernism Through the Lens of Open Space”.
Last fall, Elias and Mick spent a week in Oregon documenting some of the finest examples of Modern architecture in and around Portland. Drawing on their backgrounds in architecture and film, they spent time with the homeowners and stewards of five remarkable homes, capturing not only the architecture itself but also the stories behind these places. Their goal: to help “safeguard these architectural treasures” for generations to come.
Join us for an evening of film, conversation, and a closer look at Oregon’s Modernist legacy through the lens of Open Space.
